Junior Java Software Developers

Softlution is looking for a 2 juniorJava developers for our office in Assen. You will be part of a growing development team using the Agile development methodology and will be proactively involved in the full software development cycle. It is possible to grow into the role of Technical Lead.

Job description

  • Work closely with our functional analysts and project managers to determine the functional and technical needs of the software solution.
  • Design parts of the solution in collaboration with other software engineers and architects of your team.
  • Responsible for coding of specific functional parts, platform extensions in the application or integration with other systems.
  • Unit testing.
  • Work closely with our Quality Assurance team who will create and execute test cases to validate the quality of our software solutions.
  • Take responsibility for your part of the solution as part of the continuous integration process.
  • Proactively participate in the bi-weekly software development meeting.

Job requirements

Work experience:

  • Information Technology degree at HBO (or equivalent) level or higher.
  • At least two years of experience in java project with significant size and complexity.
  • Preferably experience in web-based applications.
 
Technical experience:
 
  • Passion for java-based web and open source technologies.
  • Minimal technical skills: J2SE, J2EE, Spring, Eclipse, HTML/XML, CSS, Design Patterns, JUnit, SQL, relational databases, web services, Subversion.
  • Other technical skills: Javascript, jquery, ZK framework, Build tools (Ant, Maven), Unit testing.
  • Experience in E-Business/ E-Commerce and PIM is considered an asset.
  • SCJP certified is a plus.
