In October the time had come. Free Record Shop went online with their new web shop which had been realized by Softlution, the specialist in E-Business, PIM and CMS.

Softlution is proud to work together with Free Record Shop, the most famous provider of entertainment media in the Netherlands.
With about 200 branches you will come across Free Record Shop in each bigger town in the Netherlands. Since their foundation in 1971 the company set up about 400 branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and Norway whereas the majority of the branches are located in the Netherlands. Beside this Free Record Shop successfully sells their products via internet too. They sell music CDs, films, games, books and ring tones, but also provide a ticket service.
Due to the realization of the web shop Softlution implemented the high-performance standard software package Suite 6 from Intershop. The choice of this software solution stood to reason because it complied with the complex company requirements of Free Record Shop. In order to give a support to the product data management Softlution integrated the PIM solution content-engine from jCatalog.
