Plutosport renews!

www.plutosport.nl, the largest online sports store in the Netherlands renews its website in collaboration with Softlution and hybris.

Plutosport has renewed its website in collaboration with Softlution and hybris. Softlution, international full-service partner for E-Business, product- and web content management solutions, provides the implementation and uses the e-commerce platform of hybris. hybris is a supplier of multi-channel communication and e-commerce software. Their renewed website is online since January 19, 2011.
 
Plutosport is selling since 2005 more than 4000 different brands of sports equipment online. The existing e-commerce solution no longer met the requirements of Plutosport because it was based on an earlier version of e-pages that had insufficient flexibility. Data transformation and migration of the old e-commerce application to the new application was therefore necessary. Furthermore, it was previously not possible to show multiple brands at the same time and the catalog- and product descriptions were very small. For this reason Plutosport has chosen a new approach in cooperation with Softlution and hybris.
 
To meet customer needs, different B2C features were implemented based on the hybris platform, which include a fast and clear navigation. Also, they improved product presentation with detailed photos. This allows content managers to easily use the hybris Web Content Management system for better management of various online shops.
 
Plutosports plans to continue their shop to expand throughout Europe. The webshop is currently available in Dutch, English, German and Italian.
