Project Elektroskandia

The Scandinavian electro technical wholesaler Elektroskandia with its headquarters in Sweden launched a product information management platform for its Norwegian subsidiary. For this project Elektroskandia looked for an implementation partner with international project experience. Softlution convinced because of its full service concept and long year eBusiness know-how.

In a strategic consulting Elektroskandia’s requirements were specified and a suitable software partner was sought. The decision was made in favor of the Premium Product Manager (PPM) of Heiler Software AG situated in Stuttgart/ Germany. The PIM project was initiated to centralize product management and produce accurate and consistent information. A close interaction between the existing ERP system based on AS/400 and PIM was explicitly requested.

Heiler’s PPM with its intuitive graphical user interface will ease Elektroskandia’s handling of price parameters. Price parameters are real-time transferred from PPM into the ERP via web services. Calculated prices in the ERP system based on those parameters are afterwards available in PPM within seconds.

In the next project phase the Heiler module PMP (Print Media Publisher) and HMM (Heiler Media Manager) will be implemented.

The project implementation with its complex interfaces, data consolidations, migrations and staff trainings took place in only 8 months.
